The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee held a hearing on the Obama administration’s messaging strategy on the nuclear deal the U.S. and some of its allies made with Iran. Much of the hearing focused on Ben Rhodes, the deputy national security adviser to President Obama who talked to the New York Times Magazine about his promotional efforts on the Iran deal, and his refusal to testify before the committee. Democrats on the panel also questioned whether one witness who worked on President George W. Bush’s strategy in Iraq should have been testifying. close
