House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) briefed reporters and responded to their questions on a variety of topics. She praised the Puerto Rico debt bill and spoke out against the Zika virus bill, calling it reckless and inadequate. She also addressed the recent incident at the Nevada Democratic Party convention in which supporters of Democratic presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) threatened state party Chair Roberta Lange. Ms. Pelosi said there is no excuse for violence, and the party must do more to make sure voters are educated about the political process. close
