Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) talked about cybersecurity efforts in regard to information sharing between the federal government and private companies. He said it was important to find a balance between privacy and security. He also said that Congress was unqualified to handle privacy issues and expressed support for a commission that would offer recommendations. Following Senator Kaine’s remarks, a panel of experts discussed the importance of cyber intelligence sharing, and strategies to counter threats. close
