Nigel Hamilton talked about his book Commander in Chief: FDR’s Battle with Churchill, 1943, in which he examines the strained relationship between President Franklin D. Roosevelt and British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, as Churchill began to undermine President Roosevelt and their once shared military strategy. In his book, the author argues that Churchill’s plan almost lost the Allies the war and is critical of the contemporary perception that Churchill was a genius of military strategy. close
