Panelists talked about the relationship between historical sites and the Reconstruction. The panel included a history professor, National Park Service historian, and park ranger, each describing their personal involvement in telling the story of the Reconstruction through historical sites. The discussion centered around efforts to improve how historical sites can give an account not only of the Civil War, but of the Reconstruction era as well.

This event was part of the annual summer conference hosted by the Gettysburg College Civil War Institute. close
