An interfaith public memorial service for Muhammad Ali was held in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, in the KFC Yum! Center. He died June 3, 2016, at age 74. Many notable dignitaries from the worlds of sports, entertainment, and politics came to honor the three-time heavyweight boxing champion, philanthropist, and activist. Some of the many eulogists included sportscaster Bryant Gumbel, actor and comedian Billy Crystal, and former President Bill Clinton, as well as Muhammad Ali’s wife and daughters. Also speaking was senior White House adviser Valerie Jarrett who read a tribute by President Obama. close
