Assistant Labor Secretary Geri Palast, a former member of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), spoke on the legislative agenda for the Department of Labor to an audience attending a union legislative conference. In her remarks, she spoke on the principles she learned from her work at the union, as well as labor issues including family leave and health care reform.
