Two Republican Party activists talked about the presidential campaign and their differing views on the “Stop Trump” movement. Steve Lonegan wanted to “unbind” convention delegates so they could vote their consciences at the national convention. Bob Vander Plaats wanted presumptive 2016 Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump to be held accountable for his remarks but hoped Mr. Trump would build confidence for voters by showing his picks for key jobs. Mr. Vander Plaats had spoken with anti-Trump activists but had not decided to do.
