A Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Oversight, Agency Action, Federal Rights and Federal Courts convened a hearing on the use of the term “radical Islam” in government documents and combating terrorism strategies. Officials with the Justice Department and FBI were called on to testify but unable to do so because of scheduling constraints. Witnesses who did appear included former law enforcement officials, the president of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, and the president of Muslim Advocates. close
