President Obama, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and Mexican President Pena Nieto spoke to reporters after the three leaders met for the 2016 North American Leaders' Summit in the Canadian capital of Ottawa. They discussed their economic talks that took place earlier in the day, and announced a comprehensive climate change action plan for the North American continent. President Obama also addressed the frequent use of the word “populism” in 2016 presidential campaign rhetoric, and why he believes campaigns pushing anti-immigration and fear of others “is not the measure of populism.” close
