Animal Rights 2016 National Conference Animal rights activists talked about the relationship between humans and animals, and the use of animals in testing. They also argued that school, hospital, military, and prison cafeterias should switch to meatless menus. Speakers included representatives of animal activist groups.

The Animal Rights National Conference was held July 7-10, 2016, at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Los Angeles, California. “Effective Strategies for Farmed Animals” was an evening plenary session with “calls to action” by Friedrich, Wilkens, Kjonaas, and Newkirk.
