Speaker Paul Ryan and other Republican House leaders spoke to reporters in the lobby of the Republican National Committee headquarters in Washington, D.C. In reacting to the announcement the previous day that the FBI would recommend that charges not be pressed against former Secretary of State for her handling of emails, he said that it looked like she was getting special treatment. He said FBI Director Comey’s comments raised more questions than answers. He also said that she should not receive intelligence briefings after she becomes her party’s nominee. Other topics included the gun control provisions of terrorism legislation. close
