The House approved a separation of powers bill that would override legal precedent that requires courts give deference to federal agencies' interpretation of the law. Members also debated amendments to a spending bill for the Department of the Interior and the Environmental Protection Agency. Representative Alan Grayson (D-FL) twice called for a motion to adjourn as part of Democrats' call for gun control legislation to come to the House floor. close
