Telephone lines were open for viewer reaction to day two of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio, and what to expect during day three.

Throughout the program, Peter Slen, back at the C-SPAN News Desk in Washington, D.C., read newspaper headlines about Donald Trump’s official selection as the Republican presidential the previous night. He also read tweets and other social media posts from convention delegates.

Two interviews, taped earlier in the week, were shown. The first was with Lyndsay Keith, deputy communications director for the 2016 Republican National Convention. She gave a tour of Media Row at the Quicken Loans Center in Cleveland. The news distribution center comprised 160 different media outlets, including digital, television, and radio. In the second interview, former Cleveland Mayor and U.S. Representative Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) talked about his city. close
