Representative Marsha Blackburn (R=TN) discussed the future of the Republican Party and the 2016 presidential campaign at an event hosted by The Atlantic on women and politics. She talked about Senator Ted Cruz’s decision to not endorse Donald Trump for president, calling it “most unfortunate” and urged others in the party to unite for the greater good. Later, panelists addressed the need for more women candidates to run in local elections and the fundraising challenges presented in local and state elections. The Atlantic’s Steve Clemons and Alex Wagner moderated this event. close
