Secretary of State John Kerry, Defense Secretary Ashton Carter, and Brett McGurk, one of President Obama’s special advisers, spoke to reporters as they convened a summit of more than 40 foreign and defense ministers representing countries assisting in the U.S.-led coalition to fight ISIS*. They talked about progress that had been made in trying to oust the group from its strongholds in Iraq and Syria, and the importance of the coalition’s unity in its ongoing efforts.
