Senator Christopher Murphy (D-CT) called for changes to America’s gun laws, an issue he considered his top priority in the Senate. He contrasted the two sides of the gun debate and spoke about the political transformation he saw taking place among some of his Republican colleagues. He also shared his experience on the day of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, in 2012. Senator Murphy led a filibuster in June 2016 to force congressional action on gun measures. close
