FBI Director James Comey spoke at the Symantec Government Symposium. He outlined cybersecurity threats to the U.S. and government response, and urged the private sector to cooperate with government agencies to reduce the threat of cyber intrusions. Mr. Comey also answered questions from audience members on attempts by Russian hackers to gain access to U.S. voter databases. Mr. Comey declined to talk specifically about the investigation, but said the FBI takes “very seriously” any attempt by foreign actors to influence America’s election system or anything else. close
