Louisiana Secretary of State Tom Schedler and election cybersecurity experts testified before a House Science, Space, and Technology Committee hearing on efforts to prevent voting machines from being hacked. Members asked the witnesses to assess the size of the threat during the 2016 election, and to evaluate which states had the most vulnerabilities. They also argued over the potential role of Russia in a security breach at the Democratic National Committee. close
