British Prime Minister Theresa May addressed members for the first time at the U.N. General Assembly. She spoke about the United Kingdom’s commitment to its values and its promise to remain a strong and confident member of the U.N. following its referendum to exit the European Union, known as “Brexit.” Prime Minister May also talked about the Syrian refugee crisis, combating ISIS, and the U.K.'s humanitarian efforts in Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia. close
