Headlines about the previous night’s vice presidential debate were reviewed and telephone lines were open for viewer comments on the question: “Your top issue in the 2016 campaign?” The telephone lines were divided among those supporting Clinton, Trump, a third party, and those undecided. Students of Longwood University, where the vice presidential debate was held the previous evening, joined via Skype to discuss their experiences at the debate. Video clips were shown from the debate.

The Trump campaign ad, “Motherhood,” released September 30, 2016, was shown. It featured Ivanka Trump talking about family-friendly employment policies. The Clinton campaign ad, “Arrogant,” released October 3, 2016, was shown. It criticized Donald Trump for not paying taxes. The Trump campaign ad, “Listening,” released October 4, 2016, was shown. It featured Trump’s child care plan. close
