John DeFerrari and Jeanne Minor gave a tour of Peirce Mill in Rock Creek Park in Washington, D.C., and talked about its history and operations. Built on Rock Creek in 1829, the mill was once used to grind corn, wheat, and rye grown on area farms. Jeanne Minor is a miller for the site and the program included a milling demonstration. The mill is now managed by the National Park Service. close
