Mary Kay Henry, president of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), talked about the 2016 election campaigns and how the union got organized and into states far earlier to support candidates than previous years. She talked about where the union was making its key campaign contributions and the issues that matter to it such as jobs, immigration, climate change, and a $15 per hour minimum wage. SEIU, the nation’s second-largest labor union, with members mostly in the areas of health care, janitorial and property services, and local and state public services, supports Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton for president. Mary Kay Henry participated by remote video from New York City. After the interview the reporters in the studio discussed her responses with the host. close
