Former Afghanistan Commander General David Petraeus and two former ambassadors talked about a report on the future of U.S. operations in Afghanistan. General Petraeus said there is cause to be cautiously optimistic on progress in Afghanistan. All of the panelists agreed that success in the country depends on the Afghans themselves but that the U.S. must continue to give a clear message of support. close
