Advocates for and against the Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean Power Plan took part in a discussion on the regulation. The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals had recently heard oral argument in West Virginia v. EPA, which challenges the regulation that limits carbon pollution from existing goal and gas-fired power plants. The plan is a key part of the Obama administration’s initiative to combat global warming and climate change. The speakers, including attorney Allison Wood, who argued before the court against the regulation, outlined the issues in the case, questions the judges asked, and the court’s possible decision. close
