Gordon Wood talked about lessons that might be drawn from the American Revolution by leaders of the Arab Spring. In 2013, Mr. Wood gave a talk to 30 Egyptian leaders about the American Revolution and the 1787 Constitutional Convention. At a time when the Egyptian experience was still unfolding, Mr. Wood described the serious challenges facing the leaders of the American Revolution, and how they devised a constitutional structure that eventually led to stable government. close
