Communicators Tour of Driverless Car Test Site
This was the third in a series of programs about changes in car technology and the role of government regulators in overseeing them.
Debra Bezzina and Huei Peng gave a tour of the Mobility Transformation Center at the University of Michigan to show how the test site, called “Mcity,” could help car companies develop wireless technology to allow cars to “talk” to each other as well as to traffic lights and infrastructure. The goal was to reduce traffic accidents.
