Caterpillar Visitors Center
C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2016 LCV Cities Tour” in Peoria, Illinois, from July 16-22 to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Comcast cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on Book TV on C-SPAN2.

Lee Fosburgh gave a tour of the “Leo: the Life and Legacy of C.L. Best” exhibit at the Caterpillar Visitors Center. Mr. Fosburgh spoke about how Leo Best began his life-long love of tractors at the age of 9 and went on to help grow the Caterpillar company with products that helped to build roads, tunnels, and landmarks around the world.
