Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and his family took part in a grand opening and ribbon-cutting event for their new hotel. The Trump International Hotel Washington, D.C., was a re-development of the Old Post Office, an 1899 Romanesque Revival building. This event began with remarks from Ivanka Trump about their hotel business and the re-development project. Mr. Trump emphasized that the hotel project being done under budget and ahead of schedule was an example of business superiority over government programs such as the Affordable Care Act. After remarks, they went to the lobby for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. close
