News of the day included the release of a letter to Congress from Federal Bureau of Investigation Director James Comey stating that the FBI was reviewing more e-mails that could be pertinent to the investigation of Secretary Hillary Clinton’s handling of classified documents and use of a personal server while secretary of state.

A video clip was shown from that day’s State Department briefing.

House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) released a statement calling for a suspension of classified briefings for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

A video clip was shown of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump announcing the news to his supporters at a campaign rally at Radisson Armory in Manchester, New Hampshire.
