Five history professors and an executive participated in a roundtable discussion relating the issues of the Civil War to today’s issues during a symposium on the Civil War at Shepherd College. The speakers discussed the issues of race and class involved in the 19th century conflict, and mapped the treatment of the issues following the war up to the current day. Following their prepared remarks, the speakers responded to questions from members of the audience. close
