John Deutch, the chair of the Secretary of Energy Advisory Board, and nuclear physicists testified at a hearing on nuclear power in the U.S. Mr. Deutch talked about the findings of the advisory board’s task force that outlines specific measures for re-establishing a nuclear power initiative between 2030 to 2050. Subcommittee Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) emphasized the need to find solutions to nuclear waste disposal and establish a permanent waste facility.
