Two House Energy and Commerce subcommittees held a joint hearing about the cybersecurity of various everyday electronic and internet-connected devices. Committee members heard from technology and private industry experts about the vulnerabilities that exist via these devices, and the growing number of malicious actors trying to exploit them. The witnesses made recommendations for how Congress can best address the challenges discussed and protect consumers in both the public and private sectors. close
