Representatives from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Government Accountability Office (GAO) testified a hearing on the management of the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) program. The program requires transportation fuel to contain a minimum volume of renewable fuels for the purpose of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and the nation’s reliance on imported oil.
