Mr. Valeril Khmelko from the University Kiev-Mohila Academy Kiev, Ukraine presented a report on the political affiliations of the Ukrainian population to an audience at the Woodrow Wilson Center. He reported on surveys of the Ukraine conducted in coordination with Radio Free Europe and others that studied the changes in the political orientation that occurred in the population during the past few years during the development of a capitalist economy in the Ukraine. Ms. Elehie Skoczylas, United States Information agency and Mr.Stephen Grant , United States Information Agency delivered responses to Mr. Khmelko’s presentation following his remarks. Following their prepared remarks, the panel responded to questions from members of the audience. close
