House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) spoke briefly with reporters in the lobby of Trump Tower after his his meeting with Republican National Committee Chair Reince Priebus. He said the meeting focused on the congressional agenda, creating jobs, and strengthening the military. Regarding Russia’s alleged hacking of official email accounts during the 2016 presidential campaign, Representative Scalise said there was nothing wrong with investigating all sides and accused President Obama of “sitting on the sidelines” and not defending American families and businesses. close
