In presentations on international views and laws related to U.S. intelligence gathering and data collection, Alan Butler presented a short talk, “Schrems and the International Backlash Against U.S. Surveillance,” and Jennifer Daskal presented a short talk, “When Can Law Enforcement Seize Data Across Borders?” Then panelists discussed data monitoring and collection within the U.S. Concluding thoughts were offered by Mark Zwillinger, a former Justice Department attorney who now heads a private practice which represents corporate clients on internet security, and intelligence and privacy issues.
