British Prime Minister Theresa May answered questions at a House of Commons Liaison Committee hearing on the U.K.'s pending exit from the European Union, also known as “Brexit.” She talked about preparations her government has made to negotiate with EU leaders over the British exit, and the trade, immigration, and security concerns being prioritized in those negotiations. Some committee members focused on ways the exit would affect parochial issues in Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.

This was the first of three expected appearances of Prime Minister May before the Liaison Committee in her first year as prime minister. close
