Several lawyers and legal scholars spoke in a forum on the lessons learned from the Supreme Court nominations of Robert Bork and Clarence Thomas in a forum during a symposium on Supreme Court nominations and confirmations. The panelists discussed the confirmation hearings of Judge Bork and Justice Thomas, both of which were controversial and affected a great deal by private interest groups, and how their results may affect the Supreme Court nominations to be made by the Clinton presidential administration. Following their prepared remarks, the panelists responded to questions from members of the audience. close
