The Senate resumed debate on the fiscal year 2017 budget resolution, which included instructions to committees to write legislation to replace the Affordable Care Act as the repeal resolution was passed. Senate Democrats were saying that Republicans were trying to get rid of the health care law before having a replacement plan. Republicans said it was a failed experiment that needed to end quickly. close
