Wilbur Ross testified before the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee on his nomination to serve as secretary of commerce in the Trump administration. He was introduced by Senator Rubio (R-FL). Mr. Ross stated that he would push to implement changes to the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and address the trade practices of other countries including China. He also discussed other areas that would come under his jurisdiction, including company outsourcing, increasing exports, cybersecurity, and infrastructure. Committee Chair Thune (R-SD) responded to questions from the press after the hearing. close
