Representative Ryan Zinke (R-MT) testified before the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee on his nomination by President-elect Trump to be secretary of the Department of the Interior. He answered questions from committee members on a variety of land management and Indian affairs topics, including the use of executive orders to designate national monuments, energy development on public lands, and collaboration in environmental and other project reviews. After a first round of questions, the hearing briefly recessed so lawmakers could cast votes on the Senate floor. Representative Zinke was introduced by Montana Senators Jon Tester (D) and Steve Daines (R). close
