In the first of his two confirmation hearings for the day, Representative Mick Mulvaney (R-SC) testified before the Senate Budget Committee on his nomination to be director of the Office of Management and Budget in the Trump administration. He was introduced by Senators Graham (R-SC) and Cotton (R-AR). Representative Mulvaney was asked about several issues including his positions on Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid funding, and his commitment to facts and data for informing his policy recommendations to the president. close
