Governor Scott Walker (R-WI) gave his annual state of the state address to a joint session of the State Legislature. He outlined some of the items in his budget, including his proposal to cut in-state tuition for undergraduate students attending the University of Wisconsin. He also discussed the state’s economy, health care coverage for low-income residents and initiatives aimed at helping students, veterans and the disabled into the workforce. The governor also invited his wife Tonette to speak briefly about a program that provides “trauma-informed care” to children. close
