He said “We have an obligation to judge a man not by the color of his skin nor by the state of his birth but by the story his life tells and by the content of his character. Jeff Sessions has earned my support. And I will hold him accountable if and when we disagree moving forward.” He started his speech referring to Senator Warren (D-MA) and her reading a letter from Coretta Scott King and the quotation of remarks by the late Senator Edward Kennedy. close
