Governor Jim Justice (D-WV) delivered the annual state of the state address at the State Capitol in Charleston, his first since taking office. Governor Justice said West Virginia was in the middle of a dire, but important, time. He said that new ideas were needed for the state’s fees and taxes, infrastructure projects and jobs, the state’s drug problem and education system, and the coal industry and veterans care. He told legislators that they had an incredible obligation and an unbelievable opportunity to work together for the benefit and prosperity of the people and future of West Virginia.
