Andrea Mitchell moderated a discussion at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace at the release of a report looking at U.S. policy toward Russia and Ukraine. The report urged a cautious approach in U.S. relations toward Russia. Among the panelists was Senator Christopher Murphy (D-CT), a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and Richard Armitage, the former deputy secretary of state during the George W. Bush administration. Both men said it was important to exercise caution as President Trump engaged with Russia and its president, especially as Russia had continued to act aggressively toward neighboring Ukraine.
