Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY) and Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee Ranking Member Patty Murray (D-WA) spoke to reporters about fast food executive Andrew Puzder’s nomination for labor secretary in the Trump administration. They said Mr. Puzder’s two companies, Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s, set bad examples of labor practices, and that they would oppose his confirmation by the Senate.
