Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Senators Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Bob Casey (D-PA) spoke to reporters about President Trump’s recent announcement of his intent to rollback important Wall Street reforms and consumer protections from the Dodd-Frank 2010 financial law. They criticized President Trump as failing to keep campaign promises to stand up to Wall Street and fight for the middle class and showed a video that included campaign footage and commentary. They also spoke about the upcoming vote on treasury secretary nominee Steve Mnuchin. Senator Schumer also called for the security clearance of National Security Adviser Michael Flynn to be suspended until an investigation could be completed on his conversations with the Russian ambassador.
