Santa Clara University Library Special Collections Nadia Nasr showed items from Santa Clara University Library’s Archives and Special Collections. She highlighted rare book and manuscript collections written and used by Franciscans at Mission Santa Clara. The materials begin with the founding of the Mission in 1777 and cover through the arrival of the Jesuits in 1851.

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2017 LCV Cities Tour” in San Jose, California, from February 4-10 to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Comcast cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on Book TV on C-SPAN2. close
